Unfortunately, we have had to draw a line under our Pink Lady Vigil. We have approached numerous organisations, seeking help and co-operation with an event; we have spoken with football and rugby clubs, race organisers, Lothian and Borders police et al but to no avail.
Giving up is something we don’t do easily or lightly, but in this instance, we have run out of ideas and the Vigil has been finally laid to rest.
Anyone who “sponsored” a lady and would now like to give her a home should get in touch at the usual address/phone number/e-mail and we will arrange to have the lady delivered. Or if anyone would like a lady to plant in their garden, we have many here for sale at £5 each.
Once more, many thanks to everyone, who supported our efforts to hold a vigil – a great and noble idea, we felt, thwarted by the Health and Safety “police”.
